About

We Are Only As Strong As Our Neighbor

According to the CDC, 61 million Americans – about 26 percent of the population -have some type of disability. Because people with disabilities may require accommodations, they are marginalized and left out of community conversations. Our neighbors can have an immediate positive effect on the most important aspect of our lives, laying a foundation for better health, increased safety and overall community pride if everyone is included.

Project Speed Hump

In underserved communities in Baltimore City speed cameras have been installed to increase revenue to the General Fund. The speed cameras generate money, not safety. Drivers are finding alternative routes that have increased traffic through our small community streets and vulnerable residents are not safe. Speed humps will slow down traffic so that the disabled, impaired and vulnerable community can cross the street a little safer. We aren’t asking for much.
